The Problem With Conventional Chemical Intervention
Getting chemistry to a specific point downhole, in a pipeline, or across a tank usually means one of two bad options: pump thousands of gallons of liquid acid through coiled tubing or a straddle packer — heavy surface footprint, high day rate, and full flowback/haul-off of spent liquid as hazardous waste — or dump a slickline bailer, which still washes and dilutes into the fluid column instead of staying concentrated where it's needed. Both mobilize significant equipment. Both leave you managing spent chemical afterward.
The Dissolvable Ball Platform delivers a precise, dry chemical payload directly to the target zone — wellbore, pipeline, or tank — where it dissolves in place. No flowback. No liquid haul-off. No rig.
Each ball is a dissolvable shell loaded with a dry chemical payload and sealed at manufacture. Deployed by gravity or pumped downhole, through a pig trap, or dropped into a tank or pond, the shell dissolves on contact with fluid and releases its payload directly at the target — no moving parts, no electronics, no wireline required to trigger it.
Ball size, wall thickness, and payload chemistry are engineered per application — wellbore geometry, pipe diameter, or tank volume — so the dose matches the job rather than a one-size-fits-all treatment.
How It Works
Injection & Producing Wellbore Treatment
Delivers scale, corrosion, and biological treatment directly to the target zone in injection or producing wells — an alternative to scheduled rig or coiled-tubing intervention. Reduces how often a rig has to come back to the well.
Four Applications
Pipeline Treatment
Loaded into a pig trap and carried with the pig train, releasing chemistry steadily along the run to coat the pipe wall — built for transmission lines where continuous injection struggles to reach the top of the line.
Passive Tank & Pond Treatment
Deployed in a net or directly into frac tanks, ASTs, or ponds for autonomous scale and biological treatment — no tanker, no labor, no active dosing equipment. Pairs with Neuratherm's NP-KR platform for solids handling on the same water.
Platform Status
Frac Plug & Stuck Packer Remediation
Delivers chemistry directly to a pre-set composite frac plug or stuck packer element, weakening it in place — an alternative to a fishing operation, milling, or a full workover.
The Dissolvable Ball Platform is in active development. Core shell manufacturing is proven, deployment method is engineered, and provisional patent protection is filed. Chemistry payload testing and field trials are underway ahead of commercial deployment.
